Commissioning set
Selection of Control Valves in Variable Flow Systems (BG 51/2014) written by Chris Parsloe and published by BSRIA in June 2014, defines a commissioning set (CS) as: ‘…a combined double regulating valve and fixed orifice flow measurement device. The double regulating valve enables the flow in a pipe to be manually regulated to its design value and then locked in position. This can also take the form of a variable orifice double regulating valve whereby the pressure loss across the double regulating valve is used to determine flow.’
